Aluminum extraction from bauxite stone uses
a lot of energy. Approximately 14 kWh of electric energy is needed
to produce 1 kilo of aluminum. Producing this amount of energy will
also produce 8.4 kg of CO2 as a by-product.
95% of this energy can be saved by recycling
the aluminum. The quality and quantity of the recycled aluminum
will remain the same.
